Choices I No Longer Give Myself a Hard Time For...

because may we always choose to come home to ourselves

finishing sentences with prepositions

the amount I love my dog

attaching my bra around my waist and then pulling it up and on

or just going braless

letting my actions go unexplained, (usually. I mean, if no one asks for one)

how unevenly I cut cloves of garlic and other vegetables while cooking

What can you or I do? Give ourselves a hard time?

Or just give it a better go the next time..

That's up to you to choose!

See you next time 💛

taking time, and a lot of it, to learn how to do something

taking time to coordinate details, knowing that I am probably the only one who will notice it

valuing myself

the songs I bought on iTunes in the early 2000s

watching any show that I want to watch

looking up instructions on how to do things I probably should already know how to do

not laughing at jokes that I don’t find funny

bumping into people instead of moving out of the way when I’m walking on the right side of the road

no longer telling people it’s “so good to see them,” if I am in fact not happy about it

letting things play out how I see instead of forcing them

keeping my last name when I got married

sleeping as much as I need/want

glaring at smokers who let their smoke go in my or other people’s faces

glaring at anyone who could avoid negatively impacting others, but doing it anyway

being 34 and still figuring things out

knowing full and well there are things on this list that I still struggle to do and feel okay about

speaking up even when I don’t know everything about everything

telling myself, and you reader, last week that I would see you next Thursday but that didn’t happen

being sad and so disappointed this week

doubts that this attempt at a blog is worth it

posting today, on a Friday! Even though the goal is to post on Thursdays.

knowing this list could be longer or more concise, but letting it be just like it is
